  Email Patrick Childs    

Patrick Childs
Patrick was born in Lubbock, Texas, but moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, when he was three. He was blessed to grow up in a close-knit Christian family. He attended The Webb School of Knoxville from 5th-12th grade. At Webb, he was an accomplished Varsity golfer, ranked 11th in the KIL and was also involved in the Chamber Singers where he earned a spot in the All-State chorus. Patrick attended Fellowship Church in Knoxville and was involved in his youth group and in the Band of Brothers Bible study. After graduating from Webb in 2003, Patrick attended Baylor University in Waco, TX. At Baylor, he majored in Psychology with a minor in Business and was a founding father of the Theta Kappa Chapter of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He served as the Secretary and Chaplain of his fraternity and was also involved in several other student organizations. He graduated from Baylor in the August of 2007 before beginning his current employment as a management trainee for Cherokee Health Systems, an organization that provides primary and behavioral care to the under-served.

 
           
  Email Austin    

Austin Church
Austin grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee, and attended Lipscomb University in Nashville. He spent semesters studying in Vienna, Austria, and in Oxford, England, and participated in a variety of clubs and organizations, including Alpha Chi, Sigma Tau Delta, and Student Government Association. After completing the university's first Honors thesis in Creative Writing, Austin graduated as Valedictorian. After graduation, he taught high school English for a year then moved to Knoxville to pursue his Master's in English. During his first year, he worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, maintained a 4.0 GPA, placed first for Poetry in the Graduate Creative Writing Contest, and won the John C. Hodges Award for Excellence as a New Tutor. This fall, he will be teaching two sections of English 101, serving as the Graduate Student Senate Liason to Graduate Students of English, and reading for UT Knoxville's new literary journal, Grist. Austin plans to continue reading, writing, traveling, fly fishing, running, and taking pictures until God makes it clear what he should do with his passion for missions.

 
           
  Email Jay     Jay Cobble
Jay graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, majoring in Finance with a collateral in Management. He gained leadership experience as President of the Executive Undergraduate Program and served on the College of Business Administration Leadership Team. Jay also volunteered as a Young Life leader at Bearden High School where he eventually joined student staff and was team leader. Following graduation, Jay moved to Memphis, Tennessee, to join the Second Presbyterian Church Fellows Program. While working in office leasing at Highwoods Properties, he attended seminary level courses and volunteered with Young Life at MUS. Currently, Jay works at Blue Ridge Companies in Commercial Real Estate Brokerage and Development. Jay is a volunteer Young Life leader at Webb School, as well as a coach for Webb’s swim team. He serves on the Economic Development Committee with the Knoxville Chamber Partnership and volunteers as an Ambassador. He helped found Young Professionals of Knoxville and is a member of its Executive Committee. Jay also serves as Chairman of Admissions for the Fellows Committee. Jay attends Cedar Spring Presbyterian Church.
 
           
      Clint Darrah
Clint grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from Johnson Bible College (2005) where he majored in Bible, minored in Missiology, and completed an anthropological linguistics internship in East Africa. While at Johnson he served as a Student Councilman and college represenative his junior and senior years. While on staff at Compassion Coalition he played a vital role in the Executive Assistant and Media Director positions. Clint also enjoyed a short-term position as a Movement Ambassador for Invisible Children, serving as a social issues speaker, a representative of the film-makers, a coordinator of the Atlanta Global Night Commute, and a member of the production team for the Chicago Displace Me. Clint was also featured in the book "Girl Soldier: A Story of Hope for Northern Uganda's Children" (2007). Clint was accepted to the School for Social Change at the Graduate College of Eastern University in Philadelphia, where he will complete a MA in Urban Studies with a concentration in Arts in Transformation. Currently he is continuing his studies while working as a head-baker and part-time server at the Tomato Head restaurant on Market Square.
 
           
  Email Chris     Chris Doody
Chris was born in Houston, Texas. He received a degree in Small Business and Entrepreneurship at Auburn University. At Auburn, Chris was a Rush Chairman for his fraternity, Beta Theta Pi and attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church where he served as a worship leader. Chris is currently pursuing his MBA at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he is completing a double concentration in Marketing and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Chris was selected to be an MBA Ambassador to the Knoxville Chamber, and is also involved with various client engagements between UT and local Knoxville businesses. He recently completed internships with Knoxville firms Modern Sprocket and Tennetic Ventures. Chris is a member of All Souls Church, where he serves as a praise and worship leader. He looks forward to being involved with the downtown community through his church and the Knoxville Fellows program. In his spare time, Chris enjoys fly fishing, hiking, and playing in a local rock band, The Dirty Guv’nahs.
 
           
  Email Annie     Annie Fulk
Annie attended Webb School of Knoxville for grades 6-12. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Biology in 2003 from Hollins University. At Hollins, Annie was active in SGA and Varsity Athletics, served as a campus Marshall and Student Ambassador, helped lead SHINE—a campus bible study—and volunteered as a Young Life leader at Northside HS. Her college experience, semester abroad in Spain, and summer working at the JH Ranch deepened Annie’s faith in and relationship with God and taught her the importance of fellowship. Though her primary studies and plans were to serve God and others in healthcare, Annie currently serves as the Director of Youth Ministries at Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church and is learning about obedience to God’s callings. She’s thrilled to be living, learning, and growing in fellowship with some mighty fine folk!
 
           
  Email Mollie     Mollie Johnston
Mollie grew up in Signal Mountain near Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her family attends Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. Mollie enjoyed being a part of a solid church body that nurtured her faith and encouraged her to grow deeply in Christ. She graduated from Girls Preparatory School, and following the example set by her older sister Katie, she attended UTK. At UT she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorrority. Time spent in Granada, Spain, in spring of 2006, mission trips to Mexico, and the desire to communicate with Spanish-speakers while serving one summer on the staff of Son Servants all influenced her decision to major in Spanish. Molly graduated in May 2007, and is now working at Cherokee Health Systems as a translator. She is excited and honored to be a part of the Fellows program and is eager to see how Christ works in and through the Fellows this year.
 
           
  Email Tomin     Tomi Robb
Tomi graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in May 2007 with a degree in Political Science. She interned for the Knox County delegation at the Tennessee State Legislature in 2005, and was president of the Government Careers Association for two years where she hosted the TBI, FBI, CIA, Secret Service, and GAO among others. Tomi also served on UTK’s Diversity Affairs Committee and hosted the UT Student Government Association Coffee Talks. She was involved with the UT Black Student Association and campaigned actively with BAMN for reform in both primary and secondary education in Cincinnati, Detroit, and Washington, D.C. Tomi was an Event Assistant at the Black Cultural Center where she helped coordinate various programs including the first ever Annual Black Issues Conference. She was an active member of Love United Gospel Choir and performed with Nikki Giovanni for her new book release, as well as being an active choir member at Eternal Life Harvest Center where she currently attends.
 
           
  Email Sarah     Sarah Stovall
Sarah is a 25-year-old middle school teacher who grew up in Augusta, Georgia. She graduated from Auburn University where she majored in Secondary English Language Arts Education. Sarah was involved with Young Life and spent two years volunteering as a leader at Auburn High School. It was during these years that the Lord began to grow in Sarah a passion for young people. After graduating in 2004, Sarah moved to New York City where she lived and worked as a nanny. She moved to Knoxville in the spring of 2005 to begin teaching at Sevierville Middle School where she is the Title I Reading teacher. Sarah is the oldest of three children and is excited to have all of her family now living in Knoxville. One of the main reasons Sarah decided to enter the Fellows program is a strong sense of Christian community that the program offers. She is excited to have the opportunity to live and grow with other believers.
 
           
  Email Kristen     Kristen Webster
Kristen grew up in Franklin, Tennessee, in a family of six. She has an older brother and sister and a younger sister. Kristen graduated from Christ Presbyterian Academy in 2002, then began studying Psychology and Elementary Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Elementary Education. After traveling to South Africa on a mission trip two years ago, Kristen decided she wants to use her degree in education to serve the people there. She hopes to return to South Africa next year to teach. For the past two years, Kristen has been a member of All Souls Church where she leads the high school girls’ Bible study. She is excited to be part of the Fellows community and looks forward to all that God has in store for the Fellows as individuals and as a community.
 
           
  Email Lindsay     Lindsay Winters
Linsay hails from Franklin, Tennessee, but moved to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee in 2003. She graduated from UTK with a B.S. in Nursing (2007). She is currently a Registered Nurse working in the Emergency Department at St. Mary's Hospital and is in the process of becoming a member at All Souls Church. She likes reading, hiking, food, and art. She is excited about investing in the community of Knoxville while she figures out what she wants to do with the rest of her life. Or the post-college part of it, for now.
